My friend has a 2006 Mini Cooper, not an S, and it needs power steering fluid. I’m getting it for her so she doesn’t get gouged by the dealer, where she has been taking it. The cap says CHF 11S, which my work doesn’t carry, but the parts guy claims that Beck-Arnley FS11 HF is identical. I’ve been googling and I can’t find it listed as a Pentosin alternative anywhere. Any Mini owners know what’s up?

Walmart has Prestone European power steering fluid. It works great wherever CHF 11s or 202 is called for.
You can also use 202 in place of 11s.

Based on what I know, there’s only really 2 types of power steering fluid: Not Honda and Honda.

For what it’s worth i believe there’s an active recall/extended warranty for that power steering pump that the dealer will replace for free if it hasnt been done already. /2005 Cooper S owner

I have a cooper S & have found that the mini dealer prices are pretty reasonable (for a dealer). I haven’t had to buy Steering fluid, but a synthetic oil change kit & washer fluid was under $35. So, I would give them a call first.... hopefully they will surprise you!

I dont know about the non S minis but my uncle has a S and there is a recall out on the power steering reservoir leaking. You might want to check on that.
